Since this week's theme on Shutter Love Tuesdays at Trendy Treehouse is the Fourth of July, I am submitting the first photo. Not only did I take the photo on July 4th, but it celebrates the first war heroes of our country.
Jeromus Remsen, a Revolutionary War veteran and hero of the Battle of Long Island, is buried in a little cemetery in Queens. Most people do not even realize that it is a cemetery because it is so tiny and it is just in the middle of a sidewalk. Several of his cousins, who were also Revolutionary War veterans, as well as his wife and several of his children are also buried there. At this time, only 6 gravestones still exist.

Wonderful pictures....Hope you had a GREAT FOURTH!
