


Then we decided to drive down to Kona for lunch. I took these photos along the way. The Kailua-Kona side of the Big Island is really weird. I wouldn't really describe it as pretty. It actually looks what I imagine Mars looks like. It is very dry (except for the ocean) and most of the rocks are black because they actually dried lava.

The land is so dark, that people write messages with coral along the road. (This is very bad. People shouldn't steal the coral from the ocean.)

After lunch, we enjoyed some shaved ice.


Here's another cute gecko that we saw when we got back to the resort.
